We are SPIIGELWIND, a duo dedicated to musical diversity. In our programs we blend classical music, jazz, world music, and free improvisation, creating concerts shaped by contrasts, openness, and a rich spectrum of sounds.

For us, every performance is a journey: we create sonic spaces where the familiar takes on new light and the unexpected finds its place.

Alongside our concerts, we also offer workshops. In these, we share our artistic approach, encourage creativity, and adapt the content to the needs of the participants – from the very first ideas all the way to performances.

  • Anne Willem (*1996, Liège, Belgium) is an oboist and creator of multidisciplinary performances. She studied oboe at the Maastricht Conservatory with Ralph van Daal and graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s degree in 2022 from the Musikhochschule Lübeck, studying with Prof. Diethelm Jonas.

Her artistic work is rooted in improvisation and explores the interaction between music, space, and other art forms. In 2017, her first performance De Creatie premiered at the Musica Sacra festival, for which she received the Hustinx Prize. Since 2020, Anne has been the oboist of the Berlin-based improvising symphonic orchestra Stegreif, performing internationally and leading workshops at conservatories and orchestras across Europe.

Alongside her performance career, Anne is active as an oboe and music initiation teacher and develops her own pedagogical approach centered on guided discovery learning.

  • Sebastian Lange (*1994, Schwerin, Germany*) is a saxophonist and bass clarinetist. His musical language emerges in the tension between improvisation, contemporary music, and sonic exploration. For him, instruments are not merely tools but resonant bodies for experiments, questions, and stories.

At the heart of his work lies the search for the unheard: for sounds that unfold in the moment, for ruptures that open new perspectives, for vibrations that touch the audience directly. He sees music less as a finished form than as a process – an encounter in the here and now.

As a fix member of the Stegreif Orchester, he represents a generation of musicians who claim the freedom to redefine boundaries and rethink forms of expression.

His performances have taken him to venues and festivals such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Lucerne Festival, and the Fusion Festival – places where classical spaces intersect with contemporary experiments.

Sebastian’s artistic practice is marked by curiosity, radical openness, and the desire to shape music as a living space: one in which silence can be as meaningful as sound, and in which the fleeting gains intensity.
